Our team of nurse managers and caregivers at Privatus comes with over 50 years of dementia care, ranging from early to very advanced stages in a wide range of clinical, social and financial situations. It is never easy.
Through up-to-date training with the Alzheimers Association, we are committed to maximizing independence and promoting safety and personal dignity whatever the specific situation of your loved one. Because it is critical to understand the person as a whole, we start with a lifestyle assessment to best understand preferences, history, relationships and passions. Caregivers are then selected that have significant experience with cognitive impairments and have participated in Privatus dementia training.
It is expected that a plan of care for a memory impaired patient will have its challenges and may require changes. Our nurse managers will be available to meet to discuss options as often as is necessary. Dementia affects not only one person, but an entire family. We aim to support your family and provide expert guidance through the difficult journey.
